The Grand Rapids Diocese requires all adults over the age of 18 who have regular contact with children through the Parish and School attend a Protecting God’s Children Awareness Session. At Holy Trinity we strongly recommend that all parishioners, especially parents, attend a session to promote community awareness.
The Safe Environment Training Session Is Free and Only Needs to Be Attended Once. To check the list of upcoming Protecting God’s Awareness sessions your can check the Diocesan Website. Scroll down to “Find and Register for An Upcoming Session” then click on the blue box. You will be directed to Virtus Online and asked to choose your organization; choose “Grand Rapids, MI (Diocese)” from the list and click select. This will show you all available sessions from Grand Rapids and surrounding areas.
