The responsibility of the Sacristans is to prepare the sanctuary for the Celebration of the Mass. Two separate groups help to accomplish this. One group, known as the Linen Sacristans, wash and iron the towels and Altar linens on a weekly basis. We try to keep at least four to five people on this roster so that it is a job that is done only once a month by any individual.
The second group is the Cleaning Sacristans and is scheduled on the same basis. Instructions will be provided, along with a list of cleaning needs and cleaning supplies. Interested volunteers will be trained for either job.
